Pretty hot 1st set, crumbling into confusion in the second. They just can't figure out what to do with He's Gone at the end.

Night 2 Rosemont, Sp89
Jack Straw opener is followed by a surprising, yet really nice second song Jerry opener slot of Row Jimmy Row. The rest of the set is standard but well-played. Picks up more steam near its end with Cumberland Blues and Let it Grow closer. Bobby still struggling a bit vocally. He's high energy on all the tunes, no question, just seems like some lingering nasal congestion. Strong Brent solo in New Minglewood and Jerry having fun with Tenn Jed- leaving some of the singing for the crowd- Chicago happily obliges.
Set two is solid, good rock and roll blues sequence with Truckin->Smokestack Lightning->Spoonful->Lightning. Jam sequence doesn't let up but mellows some pre- and -post drums/space with He's Gone and I Will Take You Home. Good drums, too, good and funky. Wharf Rat pleasantly nestled between the Watchtower and Lovelight to close. Nothing spectacular but a good show. Black Muddy River encore always special. Last Spoonful was played 9/7/87 (124).

missing the encore here on this player !!!!
the songs are all here I think but the player is couple of songs off the post needs a little attention aand a re-derive action
for example Black Muddy river plays when you select Truckin< track 10.
Peace love and more grateful dead SBD's

Abbie Hoffman
I was at these shows with a friend and made some others along the way. I was told after the fact that the "He's Gone" was in memory of Abbie Hoffman who had died that evening. It was 24 four years ago this month. It seems like just yesterday when I think about it. Sadly, the shows themselves seem hazy and distant. I have some audience recordings, which at the time I really wanted, but the sound was "tinny" if that is comprehensible. I am going to give these recordings a listen. Thanks for uploading them and doing any prep work ahead of time. Since we can't download this copy, is there any other way of trading the data? I haven´t looked to see if I can get mail hear or directly to my personal email. I will check it out. Hope to hear from someone soon and thanks again for the upload.

Good show. Nothing spectacular IMO. Nice sound by C Miller.
